Title: The EU AI Act in Practice: How is the Implementation Going?

Abstract:

“Don’t ask what the AI Act can do for you, ask what you can do for the AI Act.” This talk offers a short introduction to the Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act), outlining its core objectives, risk-based structure, and fundamental rights safeguards. It explores implementation challenges, loopholes, and enforcement uncertainties that may affect its real-world impact.

The lecture also examines why the EU is already proposing legislative changes through the so-called AI Omnibus Package, even before the Act is fully implemented.
