Our Partner in Norway:

UiT The Arctic University of Norway

At UiT, the Arctic is more than a location – it's a living laboratory. At the Arctic University of Norway, students and researchers benefit from unique opportunities to engage with the Arctic first-hand and explore its complexities through scientific research.

UiT – The Arctic University of Norway combines scientific excellence with a distinct responsibility for the Arctic region – both ecologically and geopolitically.

Thanks to its location in Northern Norway – UiT is the northernmost university in the world – it offers unique conditions for the interdisciplinary study of profound transformations in climate, society, and the environment. Amid global upheavals, UiT sees itself as an academic laboratory for knowledge that is locally grounded and globally relevant.

About Nora

NORA - Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium

UiT – The Arctic University of Norway is a partner of NORA, the Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium. This program aims to strengthen Norwegian research, education, and innovation in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics, as well as other relevant areas that support the development of AI applications.

Together with HIDA, NORA coordinates the Norway Mobility Programme, which offers PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers from the Helmholtz Association and NORA partner institutions the opportunity to undertake a research stay.
