The University of Inland Norway (HINN) is a public university with strong regional roots and a broad academic profile.
The Norway Mobility Program offers data science talents the opportunity to undertake a research stay of up to three months at the University of Inland Norway. Researchers benefit from an open and collaborative work environment where interdisciplinary cooperation is explicitly encouraged.

About NORA
NORA - Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium
The University of Inland Norway (HINN) is a partner of NORA, the Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium. This initiative aims to strengthen Norwegian research, education, and innovation in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics, as well as other relevant areas that support the development of AI applications.
Together with HIDA, NORA co-organizes the Norway Mobility Program, which offers doctoral researchers and postdocs from the Helmholtz Association and NORA partner institutions the opportunity to participate in a research stay in Norway.
Founded in 2017, the University of Inland Norway (HINN) is one of the youngest higher education institutions in Norway. The university is known for its practice-oriented, interdisciplinary research and teaching in fields such as health sciences, environmental sciences, education, psychology, social sciences, sports, media, and business administration.
Research at HINN is highly application-driven and focuses on current societal challenges – particularly those relevant to rural and regional contexts.
Many research projects are carried out in close collaboration with municipalities, public institutions, regional companies, and non-profit organizations.
Research Priorities
HINN is structured into five faculties:
-
Faculty of Applied Ecology, Agricultural Sciences and Biotechnology
-
Faculty of Education
-
Faculty of Film, TV and Games
-
Faculty of Social and Health Sciences
-
Inland School of Business and Social Sciences
The university employs around 1,000 staff members and has more than 13,000 students.
