Austria Mobility Program

With the Austria Mobility Program, HIDA offers Helmholtz researchers the opportunity to establish new collaborations, deepen existing partnerships, and gain fresh impulses for their work – directly within Austria’s research environment.

Austria is a close scientific partner of Germany, with a strong research landscape and close connections between academia, industry, and society.

Austria’s research ecosystem is well connected and includes universities, non-university research institutions, and application-oriented institutes. In this environment, researchers from different disciplines work closely together.

For example, the Complexity Science Hub Vienna applies data-driven approaches to study complex societal systems – from health and climate to economic dynamics and digital information spaces.

As an interdisciplinary research platform, the Complexity Science Hub Vienna (CSH) brings together researchers from diverse fields who work jointly on key societal challenges using data analysis and modeling.

Through the cooperation between HIDA and CSH, Helmholtz researchers have the opportunity to spend up to three months in Austria, working alongside experienced data scientists on a joint research project.

Benefits of the Austria Mobility Program
