Learn how standardized metadata can boost the visibility and impact of your energy research, with hands-on practice using the Open Energy Platform.

This course is offered by HMC in cooperation with HIDA
HMC
The Helmholtz Metadata Collaboration (HMC) promotes the qualitative enrichment of research data by means of metadata – and implements this approach across the whole organization.
HMC develops and implements novel concepts and technologies for a sustainable handling of research data through high-quality metadata. Its main goal is to make the depth and breadth of research data produced by Helmholtz Centres findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable (FAIR) for the whole science community.
This course invites Helmholtz energy researchers to discover how standardized metadata can make their datasets easier to find, reuse, and amplify the impact of their work. Through hands-on practice with the Open Energy Platform, you’ll learn to register metadata using established standards and ontologies — perfect for anyone ready to move beyond siloed thinking in the Energy domain.
Learning goals
By the end of the course, you will be able to annotate your data within the open energy platform, using the oemetastring-standard.
